This is our trip to Kansas based out of Wichita which was work related. We were able to see a lot of the country side in our spare time. We did a little site seeing, one can find a lot of beauty from a nice walk or a drive through the country side. Here are a few of our treasures, birds nest above the back door at the hotel. Mother feeding her babies. A family of Canada geese crossing the side walk in front of us on they way to the pond. One day we took a drive through the Flint Hills and over to Dodge City to see the old town and Boot Hill which was a big part of western lore. On the way we saw a few of gods creations, a deer and her fawn in a field, a bison who was being chased by a farmer; poor thing must of been taking a MUD NAP as he was one dirty looking boy. Then we came across these three beautiful horses and we just had to stop a take a photo of them. We had a chance to visit the last remaining tall grass prairie left in the world, which is about 4% of its original range. A visit to the real little house on the prairie was surreal with a little imagination of what it must have looked like as the covered wagons moved westward and were viewed by the Ingals family as they passed.
